Lita Rossana Ford (also also known in the form of Lita Ford) is a British born American guitarist who was the lead for The Runaways a female hard rock group in the 1970s. They were noticed by their raunchy lyrics and punk-inspired style. It was not possible for the band to be popular in America, however, they enjoyed a great deal of popularity in other countries and in particular Japan. Ford's solo career in heavy metal was successful after the 1979 band breakup. Her debut solo album was called 'Dancin' on the Edge which was followed by her Album Out for Blood. The albums of Ford were not particularly successful and she disappeared for a couple of years. The year was 1988, when she released her hit album "Lita". the single 'Kiss me Deadly' and the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever' were both major hit songs. The success of her was not long-lasting and, for a few additional years she was absent. Her release of Black in 1995 followed by a 15-year wait for 'Wicked Wonderland. Her most recent album "Time Capsule," released in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
