Andra Day and Andi Matichak

Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day is a American R&B/Soul singer-songwriter. Her awards include the Grammy Award as well as an Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. She was also nominated to win the Academy Award. Andra isn't simply a throwback R&B singer, her gospel jazz roots and blues can be heard in a style which is effortless as well as stylish. Stand Up for Something, her 2017 contribution to Marshall's score for the film Marshall received her the Academy Award as well as a Grammy. Andra is born Cassandra Monique Batie on Edmonds Washington. Growing up within San Diego and surrounding areas, she began performing in church and enrolled to the School of Creative and Performing Arts. After she graduated from the school, she was drawn to modern R&B and pop, but she was eventually drawn back to jazz classics and soul vocalists she heard when she was a child. The turning point came after a show she performed was noticed by Kai Millard Morris who subsequently offered some of Day's songs to husband Stevie Wonder. Motown legendary Adrian Gurvitz connected Day and the veteran businessman in music. In partnership to Gurvitz as well as Jeffrey Evans' Buskin label Day developed a popularity on YouTube and later signed to major label Warner Bros. n 2012 Day released her debut single Forever Mine on YouTube. It was picked up and played on the radio by numerous DJs. Her debut album Cheers To The Fall (2015) was recorded by Adrian Gurvitz. The album was released by Warner Bros. Records. It featured the track Rise Up, which was a popular anthem for social justice movements across the globe. Day was nominated for two Grammys with the latter being Best R&B Album. In 2019, she debuted her sophomore album The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album about the life of the legendary jazz singer. In addition, she was a part of The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a film about Holiday. Andi matichak (born on August 25, 1970) is an American actress. Her first appearance was on TV shows like Orange Is the New Black or Blue Bloods and then made her debut in horror movies Halloween as well as sequels. Andi Matichak, an American actress, was born in Framingham Massachusetts on 3 May 1994.
