Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler June 28, 1986. She had a turbulent childhood. At the age of two, her mother left her to get away from her abusive husband. Pickler returned to the mother she had left in 1995 after she took over custody. However, things didn't work out as expected. Pickler was then 12 years old and was returned to her parents by judge. They raised her until she reached adulthood. Pickler had to take care of her children without parents. She admitted she was no longer able to learn and she began to understand how to be a homemaker at a young age. Pickler was a member of the middle and high school's cheerleading team. North Stanly High School graduated her in 2004. Pickler was also a beauty pageant contestant. Her name was Miss Stanly.
